Concept Prototype

Interactive Product Sample Explorer

An interactive showroom concept for retailers and exhibition stands.

Physical product samples trigger dynamic touchscreen content, allowing visitors to explore specifications, imagery and product information through a simple tactile interaction.

How It Works

Designed for retail showrooms and exhibition environments, this concept allows visitors to explore flooring products through physical samples rather than traditional menus, brochures, or static displays.

Each sample is linked to a specific product. When tapped against the interaction area, the touchscreen updates instantly with product imagery, specifications, and related information.

By using real materials as the navigation method, the experience feels more intuitive and engaging, while encouraging visitors to spend more time exploring the product range.

While demonstrated using flooring samples, the same interaction model could be applied to a wide range of products, materials, and physical objects.

Physical samples become the navigation system, creating a more natural interaction than traditional menus while encouraging visitors to engage directly with the product.
